The Leave No Child Inside Call to Action Rally will take place on September 24th in Columbus and at satellite locations throughout Ohio. The event, organized by the Ohio Leave No Child Inside Collaboratives, is an opportunity to call attention to the importance of outdoor nature experiences in our children’s and communities’ healthy development. As part of the event, Governor Strickland and other regional leaders are expected to sign a proclamation featuring the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights (a document drafted by the Ohio Leave No Child Inside Collaboratives for the purpose of increasing awareness about the Leave No Child Inside issue).
Ohio LNCI leaders and supporters will be available to talk about their vision for the future and to share statewide and regional progress in the area of reconnecting children to nature. The organization’s website, www.ohiolnci.org , has more information on the children and nature movement as well as ways to show support and get involved.
